What do the sync badges on my events mean?

Every event on your My Events page shows a badge. A green Telegram Synced or Discord Synced pill means the event is tied to your verified identity and will show up on any device where that identity is logged in. A gray This Device Only badge means the event only exists in this browser's local history, nowhere else.

How do I link an event to my synced identity?

Click the gray This Device Only badge on the event. If your browser is already synced with Telegram or Discord, a small menu offers Link to Telegram or Link to Discord. You need to have voted on the event first, since linking attaches your existing vote to your synced identity rather than creating a new one.

How do I unlink an event?

Click the colored badge (Telegram Synced or Discord Synced) on any event and choose Unlink. The event goes back to being tied only to that one browser, and it drops off your other devices.

Do I have to link my votes?

No. When you vote and your browser is already synced, a Will link to Telegram/Discord indicator is checked by default, but you can uncheck it if you would rather keep that particular vote unlinked. There are no accounts or passwords involved, and you can link or unlink any event, any time.

Your Events, On Every Device: Sync Badges and One-Click Linking

Until now, "My Events" meant "my events, on this browser." Vote on your phone, and your laptop had no idea. Vote on your laptop at work, and your phone's list stayed empty. Nobody told you why. It just looked like the site had forgotten you.

The Problem: One Browser, One List

Tabletop Time has never required an account, and that's on purpose. But without an account, your event history had to live somewhere, and it lived in your browser's local storage. That's fast and private, but it's also stuck. A phone and a laptop are two different browsers with two different local histories, so they showed two different lists, with nothing on screen explaining the gap. If you'd connected your Telegram or Discord identity anywhere on the site, that identity was the missing link, it just wasn't doing anything for your event list yet.

Sync Badges: Know Where Every Event Lives

Now every event on your My Events page wears a badge that tells you exactly where it's coming from. A green Telegram Synced or Discord Synced pill, the same colors and style as the badges in your profile header, means that event is tied to your verified identity and will show up wherever that identity is logged in. A gray This Device Only badge means the opposite: that event exists solely in this browser's history, and no other device knows about it yet.

No more guessing why an event vanished on a different phone. The badge tells you.

Link an Event With One Click

Seeing the gray badge is only half the fix. Click it, and if your browser is synced with Telegram or Discord, a small menu appears offering to link that event to your identity. One click, and the event stamps itself with your synced identity and starts showing up everywhere.

Changed your mind, or linked the wrong platform? Click a colored badge and choose to unlink. It's fully reversible, in either direction, whenever you want.

There's one requirement: you need to have voted on the event first. Linking attaches an existing vote to your identity, it doesn't create one, so the option only appears once you've actually participated.

Get Synced First

None of this works until your browser knows who you are. If it doesn't yet, your profile header now shows a Connect Telegram or Connect Discord pill in place of the green badge. Connect Telegram and the bot DMs you a login link to tap. Connect Discord and you get the standard Discord login flow. Either way, once it's done, your browser is synced, and every gray badge on every event becomes clickable.

The Event Page Meets You Halfway

You don't have to go dig through My Events to link something. If you're already synced and you land on an event page where your vote isn't linked yet, a small banner offers to link it right there, no detour required. Dismiss it if you're not interested, or click through and it's done.

Choose to Link at Vote Time

The same choice shows up even earlier, at the moment you vote. If your browser is already synced, a Will link to Telegram/Discord indicator appears next to your name and handle fields, checked by default. Leave it checked and your vote links automatically the moment you submit. Uncheck it if you'd rather this particular vote stay tied to just this browser, no explanation needed.

Your Choice, Every Time

Nothing here is automatic in a way you can't see or undo. Linking is per event, not a blanket setting that syncs your whole history at once. There are still no accounts and no passwords anywhere in the system, only the same Telegram or Discord identity you're already using to talk to your group. And every link works both ways: connect an event today, unlink it next week, no questions asked.
